Governance Study: Hawai’i

Following a Request for Proposals by the Hawai'i Tourism Authority (HTA), this governance study aimed to evaluate and enhance the structure governing Hawai'i tourism.

The focus was on determining the best use of resources and designing an organizational structure for effective destination marketing and tourism management. In alignment with our core values, we engaged local communities, cultural leaders, and all stakeholders in a collaborative process.

The study recommended policy changes, potential amendments to Hawai'i statutes, and key performance indicators. The study also outlined an organizational structure to support the recommended governance approach, including any new departments, teams, and positions.
